Hi there!
I’m a social scientist and team leader at the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences at University of Tübingen, currently working on AI Ethics, trustworthyness in AI, online communication analysis in intelligence and police work, privacy and data protection, as well as open science principles and practices.

I’m also teaching Responsible Data Science at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute (HPI) / Digital Engineering Faculty of University of Potsdam and give advise on ethical issues linked to AI to various stakeholders (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz, police departments, journalistic media companies).

Before, I was working as a GeoX fellow and postdoctoral researcher at the Human-Centered Computing research group at Freie Universität Berlin and held research positions at various other scientific and policy-oriented institutions (incl. Wikimedia Deutschland e.V, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and adelphi).

Academic credentials:
Doctorate (Dr. phil.) in Media Ethnography from the University of Siegen, MA in European Media Studies from the University and School of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, and a MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.
